Support
Selah Verse is made by a very small team. If something is broken, confusing, or missing, write to us and a person will read it.
We read every message.

Questions we are asked most
How do I turn on the Selah keyboard?
Open iOS Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard, and choose Selah. Then tap the globe key in any app to switch to it. The app also walks you through this from Settings inside Selah.
Does the keyboard work without Full Access?
Yes. Around six hundred verses are built into the keyboard itself, so search works with no network and no permissions at all. Granting Full Access upgrades it to search the whole library on our server. Full Access is optional and the keyboard is fully useful without it.
Can the keyboard see what I type in other apps?
No. The keyboard never reads, stores, or transmits what you type anywhere else. The only text that ever leaves the device is what you type into Selah’s own search field, and only when Full Access is on.
Which translations are included?
Seven: the King James Version, the Berean Standard Bible, the Free Bible Version, the World English Bible, the American Standard Version, Darby, and Young’s Literal Translation. All of them are public domain or openly licensed, which is what lets them live inside the app, work offline in the keyboard, and be searched by meaning. Translations that require a commercial licence cannot. Full attribution is on our translations page.
Do I need an account?
No. Selah creates an anonymous account for you automatically. There is no email address, no password, and no sign-up screen. The honest trade is that we cannot restore your saved verses if you delete the app or change phones.
What happens to the photos I take in the app?
The photo is resized on your phone and sent to Google Gemini, which returns a text description of the scene. We keep the description; we do not keep the photo. The camera does not run at all until you have read the disclosure and agreed. You can withdraw that consent in Settings → How Selah uses AI at any time. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my data?
Email support@selahverseapp.com from the device you use Selah on, and include the anonymous account ID shown in Settings → About. We will erase everything and confirm when it is done.
What does Selah Premium cost, and what does it unlock?
$4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. It removes the three-a-day camera limit and the export watermark, opens your full saved collection, and unlocks all 25 export styles plus wallpaper and lock-screen formats. Billing is through Apple; cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.
Is there an Android version?
Selah is built for iPhone. Its keyboard, iMessage app, and widgets are iOS features.
Something in the app suggested a verse that felt wrong. Why?
Verse matching is a machine’s association between what you wrote and a passage. It is a suggestion, not an interpretation, and it will sometimes miss. Tell us at support@selahverseapp.com, and every report makes the matching better.
Is Selah a counselling service?
No. Selah is a scripture companion, not therapy, pastoral care, medical advice, or a crisis service, and it cannot summon help. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number. In the US, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Read the privacy policy and the terms of use. Scripture and data attribution is on the translations page.
